An Egyptian officer and three soldiers have been killed in a roadside bomb blast in the restive Sinai Peninsula.
Three people were also wounded in the explosion near the border town of Rafah. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but authorities blame Sinai militants for such incidents. The blast came a few days after seven soldiers were killed in a rocket attack on a checkpoint. The country is facing threats from militants, including ISIL-affiliated extremists, in the restive region.
