Chinese-Owned Mine Closed In Zambia Amid Plunging Prices

A Chinese-owned mine in Zambia has wound down operations, sending over 1,600 workers on forced leave. China's CNMC Luanshya Copper Mines closed Baluba mine on 7 September due to plunging prices and energy shortages. The Mine Workers' Union of Zambia (MUZ) says it will challenge the decision.
