Egypt Launches National Plan To Strengthen Communication Infrastructure

Egypt has launched a national plan to strengthen its communication infrastructure. The government has lowered internet prices to reach more households and is currently planning to introduce 4G mobile networks by 2016. But with such expansion efforts that aim to reach 50% internet penetration, comes challenges in securing internet access, so the country is in the process of creating its first cyber-crimes organization. Adel EL Mahrouky spoke to the Egyptian communication minister Khaled Ali Negm about these plans.
