ISIL Strengthens Hold Over Sitre In Libya, Beheads 12 People

Reports coming out of Libya’s Sirte say ISIL Takfiri terrorists are consolidating their grip over the port city.

The street fighting has reportedly stopped for the moment. The Takfiris surrounded small areas where people still resist the terror group. Witnesses say the terrorists looted the homes of local officials and hung their flag from state buildings, calling on residents to pledge allegiance to them. Earlier, they beheaded a dozen people and hung their bodies from bridges and highways across the city. The victims were locals fighting against the terrorist group. On Friday, ISIL terrorists killed more than 20 residents of the city, who were injured during a battle with the group. ISIL spread in Sirte in mid-February amid political chaos plaguing Libya since 2011.
