President Xi Meets Visiting Zimbabwean President

Chinese President Xi Jinping has met with visiting President of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe, in Beijing. Xi praised relations between China and Zimbabwe and expressed China's willingness to support Zimbabwe's development. Xi stressed that China is willing to encourage its enterprises to invest in Zimbabwe, and to continue to achieve mutually beneficial cooperation. Mugabe said that African countries are taking positive steps to implement the key cooperation plans that President Xi proposed in Johannesburg in December 2015. He said that Zimbabwe is willing to further cooperation in fields such as infrastructure and agriculture.
