South Sudan’s Local Leaders Urged To Help Stop The Killing Of Civilians

South Sudanese President Salva Kiir has urged political leaders in his government, who hail from central part of the country, to find a way of stopping attacks on civilians along major highways. Central region of South Sudan had remained calm between 2013 and 2015. Now, however, there are increased attacks majorly on civilians along major highways leading in and out of Juba. President Kiir has now threatened to personally lead military operations against armed groups in the central part of the country.
