Libyan lawmakers approve gov’t of PM-designate Dbeibah

Published
Libya's parliament has approved a new interim unity government led by Prime Minister Abdelhamid Dbeibah to oversee elections planned for December 24 this year.
Libya has for years been divided between two rival administrations - supported by rebel groups and foreign governments - until a recent United Nations-brokered peace deal.
Politicians have hailed the move as "historic".
