Chinese Ambassador Congratulates BDP on Victory

The Botswana Democratic Party has secured a comfortable 38 seats out of the 57 National Assembly seats in the country's 12th democratic elections. It gives the ruling party a two-thirds majority in parliament. The President elect, Mok-gweetsi Mas-isi, says the party will now focus on ensuring they deliver on their election promises. CGTN's Lindy Mtongana sat down with the Chinese Ambassador to Botswana, Doctor Zhao Yanbo. The Ambassador congratulated Mok-gweet-si Ma-si-si for his election victory, adding that he looks forward to working with Ma-si-si to take China-Botswana ties to the next level.
