Zimbabwe's former Central Bank Governor, Dr. Gideon Gono seems to have fallen on hard times. His up market residence is set to go under the hammer to settle a $1.3 million debt owed to a local car dealer over a bill of unpaid vehicles. The debt problems are symptomatic of a period that was characterized by reckless lending and high interest rates.
