The explosive remnants maim and kill those who stumble on them. To curb this problem, a non-profit in Tanzania uses rats to find landmines. The Africa Giant Pouched Rat can sniff out land mines. On this International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action we look at the ‘Hero Rat’.
