A six-year-old girl is fighting for her life at the Kisii teaching and referral hospital after she was allegedly defiled by a known ex-convict. The family of the victim says the suspect, a 34-year-old repeat offender, lured the victim into his house before committing the crime. Neighbors acting on a tip-off rounded up the suspect before handing him over to the police. Residents claim the suspect was serving a 15-year jail term but was recently released in unclear circumstances. They want justice.
