As Ethiopia’s conflict grinds on, fears rise

The Ethiopian government says the capital is safe, but it is also rallying residents to take up arms as a last-ditch defence against the rebels from Tigray who say they have every intention to march on Addis Ababa.
Just over a year ago, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed sent forces to Tigray in an operation he said was to enforce the law.
The ensuing conflict between government forces and Tigrayan rebels has killed thousands, forced millions to leave their homes and left many desperately needing help.
