In South Africa, some beverage companies are describing the government's proposed sugar tax as a disaster. This week Coca-Cola warned that 70-thousand jobs would be lost if the tax is implemented. The new levy was announced earlier this year and while it will definitely bring in revenue for the country, the government is more concerned about the high levels of obesity.
