In Nigeria, Boko Haram jihadists have kidnapped around 50 loggers in the northeastern part of the country, close to the border with Cameroon.
The abduction took place at Bulakesa village in Borno state.
The incident comes hours after the country's army conceding they lost hundreds of their own to insurgency just a week ago.
