Closing arguments have begun in the trial of more than a dozen defendants accused over the assassination of Burkina Faso's former President Thomas Sankara.
The African icon was killed with 12 others in a coup in 1987.
Among those accused of his murder are former president Blaise Compaore and his close aide General Gilbert Diendere, a former head of the elite Presidential Security Regiment.
