Burundi: Remains from mass graves linked to ethnic unrest exhumed

Published
Thousands of remains from mass graves are being exhumed in Burundi.
Its Truth and Reconciliation Commission is also taking testimony to document more than three decades of ethnic unrest.
The panel was set up as part of a peace deal in 2000 signed by different armed groups that saw the end of a civil war.
But it was formed fifteen years later and has only recently started its work.
A warning: some may find the images in Al Jazeera's report by Catherine Soi disturbing.
