For years, women in Siakobvu endured journeys of more than 250 kilometres to Karoi and Chinhoyi just to access cervical cancer screening, an expensive trip that often delayed early diagnosis and treatment.

Now, with screening services available at their local hospital, communities say the development is a lifesaving breakthrough, making early detection easier and giving more women a fighting chance against cervical cancer.
