Mozambique’s Chimoio in Manica Province was more than just a base it was the operational heart of the Zimbabwe African National Liberation Army (ZANLA) during the Second Chimurenga. The town also bore the heaviest toll, recording the highest number of casualties, a testament to the courage and sacrifice of those who fought for Zimbabwe’s freedom.
