Ethiopia is using a Chinese-built AI early warning system to improve weather and climate forecasting. The MAZU system has cut the time needed to process climate data from up to two days to about an hour. Officials say it is helping predict extreme weather and identify areas at risk from droughts, floods and other climate-related disasters.
