In a significant boost to South Africa’s green energy transition, China is investing $35 million into a new solar panel assembly plant in Mpumalanga's Nkangala District, one of the country’s most coal-reliant regions. The project is expected to generate hundreds of jobs and provide training opportunities for young engineers.
