Chinese Embassy Launches Visa Application Facility In Kenya

Published
China has outsourced its Visa application and processing functions, to VFS Global, a tech services provider. This is a trend already adopted by several other embassies in the country. The company's Chief Operations Officer for Africa, Jiten Vyas says they hope the center will ease the bottlenecks Kenyans applying for Chinese visas have been experiencing, including difficulty in getting appointments or waiting in long queues at the Embassy. China receives Visa applications from over 15 000 outbound tourists from Kenya annually, who visit the country for business and leisure.
