Uganda’s Ministry of Health warns the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted HIV patients negatively due to restrictions on movement.
About 1.4million Ugandans are infected with HIV, and 1.2m of them are receiving on treatment.
But limited access to health centers during the pandemic has left some without vital medication.
The UNAIDS warns Sub Saharan Africa could face up to 500,000 HIV-related deaths due to the pandemic.
