A dark cloud has settled over Guruve District following a series of murder cases reported since October. Residents say the events of Sunday, 14 December, were particularly distressing, after they were awakened by screams in the early hours of the morning. It later emerged that five members of the same family, a mother, her son and daughter, and two grandchildren, had been killed, sending shockwaves through the community and deepening fears over public safety.
