Delegates Converge In Kigali To Tackle Issues In Aviation Industry

More than 500 delegates have converged in Rwandan capital Kigali for the Aviation Africa 2017 forum to deliberate issues affecting the industry. Speaking at the opening of the forum, Rwandan President Paul Kagame pushed for governments in the continent to liberalise their airspace to make the industry profitable.The east African country has been expanding its aviation industry to keep up with the pace of booming tourism and renewed interest in investing in the country and on the continent. Rwanda hopes to focus more on potentially lucrative African routes which until now have been inaccessible due to restrictive regulatory policies.
