In September 2025, Vincent Kaluma AKA 'Kaluma Boy' made headlines in Kenya after candid videos of him documenting his daily struggles as a carer for his stroke-striken father went viral. What followed was massive online support, donations and even visits from thousands of followers. But Kaluma Boy also sparked a national conversation on what happens when government services are not available? And - from health to education - are Kenyan's getting shortchanged by their leaders?
