DRC Catholic Bishops Raise Concerns Ahead Of Elections

Influential conference of Catholic bishops in the DRC have warned that the Ebola epidemic and clashes in eastern Congo could threaten the validity of the upcoming elections.

The National Episcopal Conference of Congo has also raised concerns on the use of a new electronic voting system.

The opposition opposed the system saying it is more vulnerable to vote-rigging and could be compromised by Congo's unreliable power supply.
