Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday that New Year celebrations and gatherings will be banned to curb the coronavirus. Madbouly ordered strict implementation of the anti-epidemic measures to fight the surge in COVID-19 infections and avoid a full lockdown.
