The demand for rapidly evolving technology and electronic consumables is increasing and so is the junk. E-Waste is one of the fastest-growing waste streams in the world. Recycling and reusing of waste has come under the spotlight at the WasteCon summit taking place in Johannesburg this week. Sumitra Nydoo visited an electronic waste management centre to see what happens to some of these old gadgets.
