Zimbabwe united in grief this Wednesday as thousands gathered in Victoria Falls to bid farewell to the eight victims of the Deka Bridge road accident in Hwange District. Families, colleagues and community leaders paid emotional tributes to the lives lost, while renewed calls were made for stronger road safety measures and the speedy enactment of the Road Accident Fund Bill. President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa has since declared the tragedy a State of Disaster.
