VIOLENCE AT HARDROCK-DYNAMOS CLASH RAISES CONCERN OVER FOOTBALL REVIVAL DRIVE
Violence that erupted during the abandoned Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match between Hardrock FC and Dynamos FC at Chahwanda Stadium has raised fresh concern over Zimbabwe’s football revival efforts. Several arrests have been made in connection with the disturbances, while Hardrock FC chief executive Kudzanayi Hove has been suspended. Repairs at the stadium are also underway as authorities push ahead with efforts to modernise football infrastructure in the country.
