Female Genital Mutilation is still widely practiced in Tanzania among the Maasai. The procedure, seen as a rite of passage for unmarried women, can lead to trauma and even death. But former Miss Tanzania Diana Lukumai has set up an organisation to discourage FGM. It's called the Cut Alert Foundation, and Lukumai wants communities to invest in young womens' education rather than preparing them for an early marriage. DW catches up with her!
