Kenya recently became the second African nation to launch a human milk bank. The project aims to provide donated breast milk to babies without access to their mother's milk. It's hoped the initiative will also help to reduce neonatal deaths in the country, which current stands at around 22 per 1,000 births, according to UNICEF.
