The Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix, visited the Rhoo camp in DR Congo's Ituri province.
UN chief Antonio Guterres was supposed to have a three-day visit to DR Congo from February 22, which he cancelled following the deterioration of the situation between Ukraine and Russia.
The Ituri province has been experiencing certain levels of unrest in the past, and tens of thousands of persons have been displaced.
