Mnangagwa Threatens Those Who Send Money Abroad Illegally

Published
Zimbabwe's President Emmerson Mnangagwa say he knows exactly who has taken money out of the country illegally.
And he's vowed to take action as soon as the three-month grace period he announced ends. Mnangagwa has ramped up pressure on individuals and companies who have siphoned money out of the country. Zimbabwe may have been lost billions of dollars. In its 2017 Monetary Policy Statement the central bank said as much $1.5 B had been sent abroad during 2016 alone. Since taking office, Mnangagwa has introduced a number of reforms aimed at addressing social and economic challenges.
