Seven election officials in Niger have been killed by a roadside bomb that exploded as their car was driving through the southwestern Tillaberi region.
The votes are now being counted in Niger’s presidential runoff election, with the result expected in a matter of days.
The two candidates are Mohamed Bazoum, a trusted ally of incumbent President Issoufou who has held the post of both foreign and interior ministerpast, and Mamane Ousmane, a former president and prime minister.

Al Jazeera's Ahmed Idris reports.
