Overlapping Budgets Create Uncertainty In Government Spending — Chukwu

It’s difficult for someone not in government to explain. If they have not started implementing the 2025 capital expenditure budget, when will they implement the 2026 budget? The budget is meant to provide guidance on expenditure. If we have overlapping budgets, we’ll find that there is uncertainty over what the government is spending. The budget then cannot be used effectively as a tool for economic development.
