Plans by Kimberley's Sol Plaatje Municipality to host the next year's 'Diamonds and Dorings' Festival is ruffling feathers. The Northern Cape Business Chamber says it will mobilise residents to stop paying for municipal services if cash is splurged on the Easter festival, which has been an annual event since 2001. It wants the municipality to prioritise fixing infrastructure instead of being frivolous.
