In Ghana, President Nana Akufo-Addo has defended a decision to appoint more ministers than Ghana has had for the past 20 years. Akufo-Addo said it was a 'necessary investment' to appoint 110 ministers and deputy ministers. Opponents say the president is reneging on a promise to make government more streamlined.
