An international discussion on Land tenure, risk for investors and political stability in Africa has been held in Senegal's capital, Dakar. Some of the issues discussed include land rights and their impact on peace and prosperity on the continent. Research shows that 63 percent of land disputes focus on cases of people driven off their land, often to make room for private development projects.
