Republic of Congo elections: President Denis Sassou Nguesso declared winner

In tonight's edition: #CongoBrazzaville's president is reelected with 88% of the vote. After 36 years in power Denis Sassou #Nguesso's return was expected, his closest rival died on polling day from Covid-19. After months of denying the presence of Eritrean troops in the conflict in Ethiopia's northern Tigray region, the country's prime Minister admits they have crossed the border and for the first time, acknowledges reports of atrocities. And in eastern Cameroon,  the last bloat of hippos are in danger due to local mining activities polluting their waters.
