The number of people affected by hunger around the world has risen significantly according to the 2022 Global Report on Food Crises.

The report says 193 million people in 53 countries are in urgent need of food assistance. Most of them are found in countries experiencing conflict like Afghanistan, Yemen and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

CGTN's Chris Ocamringa has this report from the DR Congo capital Kinshasa.
