South Africa's military has been deployed after protests against the jailing of former President Jacob Zuma turned violent.
At least six people have been killed and hundreds arrested in Zuma's home province of KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng province.
Zuma is in prison for refusing to obey court orders to appear before a panel on investigating corruption during his time in office.

Al Jazeera’s Fahmida Miller reports from Johannesburg, South Africa.
