South Africa In Plans To Import 2 Million Tons Of Maize To Supplement Shortfall

South Africa is set to become a net importer of maize for the 2016-2017 season, thanks to two successive droughts. The imports will offset the drop in local production. However, farmers are also planning to plant more maize to ease consumers' hardships. CCTV's Travers Andrews reports.
