South Africa's tourism industry relies heavily on international visitors from beaches to game reserves, thousands of foreigners stream into the country every year, adding over a billion dollars to the local economy. However most of that takes place during peak season and in warmer weather. It's prompted tourism authorities to look at other ways of growing the sector.
