The conflict in Ukraine continues to cause disruptions around the world. In South Africa, a hike in meat prices has been attributed to the ongoing Russian military operation in Ukraine. Input costs have increased significantly on the back of higher maize prices, and the burden of risen production costs has being passed onto consumers. This has forced many South Africans to change their diets.
