South African power utility Eskom is testing the waters with its plans for the construction of six nuclear reactors. The government wants to increase the country's power-generation capacity and reduce its reliance on coal. It's controversially earmarked nuclear expansion. However, Eskom was quick to point out that it's merely requesting information and not inviting bids just yet.
