South Sudan's government says it's making efforts to mitigate the effects of the famine. The United Nations declared famine in the war-torn country earlier this year. Juba is urging citizens in areas that are peaceful to begin cultivating crops to reverse the acute food shortage. The unrest in South Sudan has not only disrupted farming, it's also hindered the delivery of humanitarian aid -- both leading to the famine. CGTN's Patrick Oyet has more
