Sudan: Thousands rally on second anniversary of start of uprising in Khartoum

Thousands of people staged a demonstration in Khartoum on Saturday. The protest was held on the second anniversary of the social uprising which ousted longtime leader Omar al-Bashir who had been in power for three decades.

Protesters chanted slogans, and carried Sudanese flags as they walked down the streets.

Among the reported demands were the formation of a transitional parliament and implementation of governmental reforms.
