2016 marked the 40th anniversary of the completion of the TAZARA Railway - one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in east Africa. And, it's considered to be a testament of the friendship between Tanzania and China. The anniversary was celebrated jointly by the Chinese embassy in Tanzania and by the government in October last year.
