Tanzania registered 92 big investment projects worth around $3.5 billion between March and June, this year. This represents a 36.7% rise in investment projects when compared to the corresponding period last year, when a total of 68 projects, worth $321 million were registered. The value of investments has also soared up massively, rising by 725% in the last 3 months compared to the same period last year. President Samia Suluhu has been on a mission to restore investor confidence and attract private sector investment since assuming office in mid-March. This weekend marks 100 days since she took office following the sudden death of her predecessor John Pombe Magufuli.
